'I was 3 years younger than everyone else on the pitch and managed to get MVP and one of my horses got best playing pony'

Jack_profile.jpg

The words of mighty 4 goaler pro, and Stickhedz Sponsored Player Jack Richardson...

Who was your best pony of all time?

She's called Magic and I still have her, she is a 10 year old English thoroughbred

Do you have a best pony at the moment?

Magic closely followed by a New Zealand thoroughbred called princess whom I bought last year.

 Most memorable match moment?

When I played my first high goal match in the Queens Cup was very memorable, also playing on the Queens ground at Guards when I was 10 and scoring 2 goals in a proper grown up tournament!

Which win did you fight the hardest for and what made it so sweet?

My second Eton vs Harrow school match. We were the underdogs and we won in the last seconds. It was so good because I was 3 years younger than everyone else on the pitch and I managed to get MVP and one of my horses got best playing pony.

Where do you see your polo in 5 years’ time?

Hopefully I will be 7 or 8 goals and be playing in the high goal in the UK and Argentina

What’s playing on your iPod at the moment?

Anything, alot of Jay Z and a band called Little Dragon though

‘Copy the way the 10-goalers work but not the way they play. The way you play is Ralph.jpgyour

own style’

Meet Ralph Richardson, Stickhedz Sponsored Player and 1 goaler playing out of Knepp and Cowdray...

Do you remember your first pony?

Never will forget him, he was a shetland called little rocky!! Loved to help you hit the ball with his hoofs.

Most memorable match moment?

Playing my first gold cup game at 15 years old at trippets farm's number one ground.

Which player do you most look up to?

Has to be nachi du plessi, the eight goaler from south Africa, he is tough, good with the ball and rides so well.

How many whites do you get through a season?

Three, I love clean and smart whites!!

Where do you see your polo in 5 years’ time?

I will be 21 and hopefully playing in the gold cup final off 4 goals.

Beer or wine?

Wine it has to be.......what, no I don't know what it tastes like.
